What is the significance of Dussehra in India

As per Hindu mythology, Ravana, who was the king of Lanka, once abducted Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. They were on a 14-year exile at that time. Lord Rama, along with his younger brother, Lakshmana, Hanuman, and the Vaar Sena, rescued Maa Sita.

Finally, on the 10th day of the battle, Lord Rama won over Ravana. Hence, we celebrate this day, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
