Rekha Gupta was allegedly physically assaulted at a ‘Jan Sunwai’ programme at her official residence in Civil Lines on Thursday, August 20, 2025.

The source says that, “Ms. Rekha Gupta” was attacked by a man who was around 35 years old. The suspect handed over a paper as a complaint to the CM. After that he allegedly attacked her.
For now, the accused man is detained from the spot.
Commissioner of Police S.B.K. Singh has left for the CM’s residence in Civil Lines. The CCTV footage are being analyzed to understand the sequence of the events. The motive behind the attack is still to be understood.
