1992- 2006: The Early Phase

Selena Gomez observed her mother rehearsing for theater productions when she was a child. Her mother was just 16 when she gave birth to Selena Gomez. Gomez’s family faced financial troubles when Selena was young.

In an interview with a magazine, Selena Gomez said,

I didn’t appreciate [my upbringing] when I was little.
