Ananya Panday is an Indian actress, who was born on 30 October 1998 (age 23 years as of 2022) in Mumbai. She is a scorpion. She did her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, and she graduated from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. However, there were rumours that she faked about her college.

Relationships/Boyfriend(s)

There were rumours that Ananya was dating a boy named Karan Jaising, who is the son of a famous fashion designer Monisha Jaising. 

There were rumours that she was dating the Indian actor Ishaan Khatter from 2019 to 2022.

Career

In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut with the 2019 film ‘Student of the Year 2.’ Talking about the film, she said,

I wasn’t (intimidated), in fact, I was really motivated to perform better while I was on set,” she says of her time on Student Of The Year 2. “Having not had any formal training in acting or dance I felt the need to double the effort and practise so much more, especially when I saw Tiger dance. I feel like when you’re 18 or 19, you have to have fun, live in the moment, and not overthink things. On sets, I was having fun doing so many things for the first time that it never felt like we were making a film.”

Ananya was not the first choice for the film and a few other Indian actresses like Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor were approached for the film. In 2019, she appeared in Pati Patni Aur Woh.

She then acted in the Hindi films Khaali Peeli (2020) and Gehraiyaan (2022).

 In 2022, she appeared in ‘Liger’ along with the South Indian superstar Vijay Deverakonda. The film was released in Hindi and Telugu.

It is Vijay Deverakonda’s first film that will be released in Hindi language.

Controversy

In 2021, she landed into controversy after her name was involved in Aryan Khan’s drug case. Her name was found in WhatsApp chats of Aryan Khan. Also, Anaya was trolled online for faking about her college degree.

I feel like coming from a film background does give me an advantage over others because access is the hardest part to overcome. The fact that I can meet a Karan Johar is something that is available to me because of my parents. But I also believe you can have access but what you do in that room is purely dependent on your talent. If you have access and don’t have the talent to back it up, people won’t invest their money in you. Having said that, I do believe nepotism exists and it exists in all industries, not just Bollywood.”
