Biography 

Money and Abbey is a real-life couple and is popular on YouTube as “The Modern Singhs.” They are video creators and their mission to make videos on YouTube is to bring families together.

 

Money Singh

Money Singh’s real name is Maninder Singh. He was born on 13 August 1993; age 28 years in 2021 and belongs to Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He studied at Glenfield College in New Zealand and did Bachelors of Business with a double major in marketing and entrepreneurship from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.

 

Abbey Singh

Abbey was born on 22 June in Scotland. In 2019, she did her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (Criminology). Abbey is quite fond of Indian culture and she loves to dress up in Indian attires and even speak Hindi and Punjabi.

 

 

Both Abbey Singh and Money Singh are currently residing in Auckland, New Zealand. Money moved to New Zealand when he was just five and a half years old. However, Money’s mother sent him back to India to live with her sister when he was just 13 with the purpose of making Money more acquainted with the language and culture of Punjab.

He has one younger brother, Ashpreet aka Ash who often appears in the YouTube videos of The Modern Singhs. Apart from his family, his relatives are also living in New Zealand.

Abbey and Money Singh met at the retailer chain called ‘The Warehouse’ in New Zealand, where Abbey was working as a Checker operator and Money Singh was working as a Checker Supervisor. Abbey saw Money at the workplace for the first time and fell in love with him. Since they had to work together in shifts, they got closer at that time. Just like Abbey, Money was also mesmerized by the beauty of Abbey. Money asked Abbey out for a date and they went for dinner.

Abbey was expecting Money to propose to her on Valentine’s day while they were on vacation, however, Money didn’t, which made Abbey a little disappointed. Money already had a ring in his jacket, but he waited two days after Valentine’s day to propose to her on Abbey’s grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary in Scotland.

 

 

The fun part was Abbey was sick that day and she was not even serious about the proposal. But Abbey proposed to her with a big ring and she obviously said yes. They got married in 2016 and followed both European-style weddings and traditional Indian weddings that lasted for four days.

 

 

 

In 2020, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, Noah.

 

 

 

 

The couple is also blessed with a baby girl, Hazel, who was born on 24 Feb 2022.

Money started his career as a supervisor in 2012 “The Warehouse” in Auckland, New Zealand. In 2018, he started working as a technical specialist at Noel Leeming in Auckland, New Zealand. Abbey used to work in “The Warehouse” in Auckland, New Zealand where Money was his supervisor. She is currently on maternity break. On 6 February 2019, they uploaded their first video which was their wedding highlights on their YouTube channel, ‘The Modern Singhs.’ They started getting more subscribers and viewers on their YouTube channel and have more than 800k subscribers. They are popular YouTubers in India along with other YouTubers like Harsh Beniwal, Prajakta Koli, and Bhuvan Bam.
