Gaurav Sharma is an Indian actor who is well-known for playing the role of a terrorist in the popular Hindi TV serial, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (2011). Gaurav was born on 10 November in Chandigarh and brought up in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling at Meerut. When he was in 12th standard, he started his first job as a sales executive for HDFC in Meerut. Later, he joined an international call center in Gurgaon.

Girlfriend/Wife

On 31 October 2017, Gaurav Sharma got married to his girlfriend, Priyanka Sachan who is an actress too. They did a destination wedding at Goa. While talking to a reporter about his marriage, Gaurav said,

Yes, we were happy when our parents accepted us and worked towards our wedding. I have always told myself that whenever I would marry, I will have my wedding in Goa. So yes, I am now in Goa with only few days left for my wedding. The feeling is superb as I stand in my dream destination. I am having a great time in Goa with my friends. My bride is expected in a day or two (smiles).”

Career

Gaurav quit his job in Gurgaon and head to Mumbai to make his career in acting.

He started working as a model, and in 2009, he auditioned for Beyond Dreams Productions and was selected for the TV serial, ‘Jamunia’ aired on NDTV Imagine.

Some of his other TV serials are ‘Ladies Special’ (2009), ‘Palampur Express’ (2009), ‘Bitto’ (2010), ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ (2011), ‘Kairi – Rishta Khatta Meetha’ (2012), and ‘Nadaniyaan’ (2013).

He came into the limelight with the popular Star Plus serial, Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (2011) in which he played the role of Rajkumar, a terrorist.

In 2013, he did a Hindi film, ‘Din Ke Andhere Mein’ which failed to do well at the box office. Gaurav Sharma, in the same year, was roped in the Sony TV serial, ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ (2013) in which he played the role of Khush Kapoor. In 2019, he was seen acting in the Zee5’s original web series, ‘Bombers.’

Post COVID-19 lockdown, he was roped in the Star Plus serial, ‘Shadi Mubarak’ in 2020.
