Dipesh Sawant was the cook of Late Sushant Singh Rajput. Reportedly, he was one of the people who saw Sushant hanging from his room’s ceiling fan on 14 June 2020.

Dipesh was born on 22 September 1991; age 29 years in 2020 in Mumbai.

He was working as cook for Late Sushant Singh Rajput, and he was one of the staff members appointed by Rhea Chakraborty.

On 4 September 2020, Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda were arrested by the NCB for their involvement in drugs trading.

On 5 September 2020, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Dipesh Sawant for his connection with the drugs probe; linked with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Deputy Director, NCB, KPS Malhotra while talking to a reporter, said,

NCB has arrested Dipesh Sawant, the house helper of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in connection with the late actor’s death case. The arrest has been made based statements and digital evidence against Sawant for his role in procuring and handling drugs. He will be produced before court tomorrow at 11 am. Cross-examination of arrested people underway.” ((Hindustan Times))

The NCB officials further said,

He was subjected to interrogation and confronted with Showik, Samuel, Kaizan Ebrahim and Zaid Vilatra. His statement under Section 67 of the NDPS Act was recorded and on the basis of enough corroborative evidence, he has been placed under arrest.”
