Biography 

Urfi Javed is an Indian TV actress, who is famous for playing a role in the TV serial, Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania (2016) as Avni Pant. She was born on 15 October 1996 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Urfi has played many other roles, including Aarti in Meri Durga and Bella in Bepannaah. Besides, she was seen as Mira in Puncch Beat Season 2, which was streamed on ALT Balaji. In 2021, she was seen as a contestant in Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 Urfi follows Islam, and her zodiac sign is Libra. 

Urfi has done her schooling at City Montessori School, Lucknow, India. After that, she completed her graduation in Mass Communication from Amity University, Lucknow.

Career

Urfi Javed started her career with Tedi Medi Family in 2015. In 2016. She appeared in Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania as Avni Pant on Sony. Thereafter, she was seen playing the role of Chhaya in Star Plus’s Chandra Nandini (2016-2017). After that, Urfi was seen in the role of Aarti in Meri Durga, on Star Plus. In 2018, she was seen as Kamini Joshi in SAB TV’s Saat Phero Ki Hera Pherie. Urfi appeared as Bella Kapoor in Bepannaah, Piyali in Jiji Maa, and Nandini in Daayan. In 2020, Urfi appeared in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Shivani Bhatia. Also, she was seen in Kasauti Zindagi Kay as Tanisha Chakraborty. 

In 2021, she was one of the contestants of Bigg Boss OTT, and even the first one, who got eliminated from the reality show. She got nominated on the show after her connection, Zeeshan Khan, on the show ditched her. 

In an interview, when asked about her journey on Bigg Boss OTT, she said:

“I was not expecting such a short journey. I wanted a bit more time to make an impact in the house and truly show myself, I never expected that I will be evicted so soon. The concept of OTT is good, however, the connections thing didn’t work out well for me. If it were an individual game, I wouldn’t have been evicted. I don’t think I deserved it.”

When asked about how if she has any bitter feelings about Zeeshan Khan and Divya Agarwal, she mentioned:

“Bitter? I want to kill both of them. I hate Zeeshan so much that I just want to shave off his head.”

Controversy 

Urfi Javed is always in news for her controversial outfits. Netizens often troll her for wearing such clothes. She irked netizens for copying a bold black cut-out dress from Kendal Jenner. The netizens immediately noticed the uncanny resemblance between her dress and Jenner’s dress. However, she said that these news doesn’t bother her. 

She was once called the niece of Javed Akhtar. Urfi later said that she has no connection with him anyway. Shabana Azmi also went to Twitter to clarify the rumours. 

In one of the interviews, she said, that her ex-boyfriend, Paras Kalnawat was the reason why she lost a role in the TV serial, Anupamaa. She said in an interview:

“We were supposed to work together in a show, I guess Anupamaa only. He requested the creative director and everyone to not cast me in the show. Whenever there is even a slight chance of me being in the show, he would request the team to not cast me. Because apparently, his girlfriend present or ex would not like it.” Urfi also said that she broke up with Paras because he was ‘such a kid’. Urfi went on to say that she considers dating Paras ‘a childhood mistake’.
