Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, whose real name is Kashif Khan is a British Pakistani musician and former first-class cricketer, who hails from Pakistan. 

Birthplace

Chahat aka Kashif was born in Lahore, Pakistan in March 1965. 

Education/School/University

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan went to Govt High School Sheikhupura. He did his education at the University of the Punjab & London School of Economics in England. After that, he joined the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) as a visiting faculty at the School of Economics.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan is a cricketer and musician by profession. In the 1983-84 season of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy, Chahat played in two first-class cricket matches for the Lahore cricket team. He was also involved in selecting Aaqib Javed for the government school cricket team in Sheikhupura. 

In an interview, Chahat said, “I selected Aaqib Javed in the cricket team of the government school of Sheikhupura. He played under my captaincy.”

After that, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan emigrated to the UK. He played club cricket for almost 12 years. He started working as a taxi driver after retiring from cricket. 

During lockdown in 2020, Chahat began receiving a lot of attention for his music videos on YouTube and Instagram. 

His discography includes songs like, “Pyara PSL”, “Lota Lota”, “Gol Kattara”, and “Tu Chor Chor Chor.” He gained a lot of attention in 2023 with his appearances in various talk shows & performance at the IPPA Award 2023. 

In 2024, Chahat released a song named, Bado Badi, which went viral on the internet. People haven’t stopped making Instagram reels using this song. He has also been trolled for unusually singing this song.
