One of the stars of the TruTv franchise series Impractical Jokers is now retiring from the comedy troupe after a long run.
Joe Gatto went to his Instagram account to share the news via a note, which goes like this:


Joseph Anthony Gatto Jr. was born on 5 June 1976 is an American comedian, actor, and producer from the New York City borough of Staten Island.
He is a former member of ‘The Tenderloins,’ which is a comedy troupe also having other members, namely Sal Vulcano, James Murray, and Brian Quinn. He starred in the TV series, Impractical Jokers, which was first aired on 15 December 2011.
Gatto was born on 5 June 1976 and has completed 45 years of his life.
Joe Gatto was born on Staten Island and is of Italian descent. Gatto went to Monsignor Farrell High School. He studied at LIU Post to receive his degree in Accounting. He was a member of his high school’s Improvisation Club along with Vulcano, Quinn, and Murray.
Joe used to work at the emporium of James Glenn Delamark Beck the 2nd. However, he was fired for playing with a jockstrap.
His father died back in 1995 due to pancreatic cancer due to alcohol poisoning. His mother died on 3 June 2012.
Joe has a sister, Carla, who appeared on one of the episodes of Impractical Jokers. His brother-in-law also went to the show to take revenge on Murr.

His wife’s name is Bessy Gatto. Both Joe and Bessy got married on 2 September 2013 and have two children, daughter Milana, who was born in 2015, and son Remington, who was born in 2017.

Gatto is also an advocate for the ‘Adopt, Don’t Shop’ movement, and encourages people to adopt pets from shelters instead of buying them from breeders.

2. He is the only joker who has become a father as of now.
3. Joe and Sal were two jokers, who have been hit by the car.
4. Gatto was last amongst all jokers to lose his virginity.
5. Murr and Joe shared an apartment together when they were pretty young.
6. This is not the first time Joe has left the show. He left the comedy group, The Tenderloins, right after the Jokers were given their own show. He re-joined the group only after Sal and Q convinced him.
7. Joe even worked as a salesman at the baby retail store, namely Giggle. And, he even was working as a car salesman at a Nissan dealership before he entered the world of comedy.
