Biography

Kanishk Priyadarshi is an Indian actor, comedian, and anchor. He has been associated with the digital media Ok Tested as an anchor and actor. Kanishk did his schooling at Cambridge School Noida. He accepted in an interview, he was not very good in studies. He wasn’t good in either studies or sports. Kanishk was shy and living in shell. He was hesitant of speaking when he was in school. Eventually, he realised that he wanted to do acting. In April 2017, he studied at British Council India. He did his graduation in social science and humanities. Kanishk also attended College of Vocational Studies to study History Honours. However, within six months, he left the college since he was not interested in studying history. After that, he did nothing for six months. But, after those six months, he attended Shri Aurobindo College to study B.A.

His father’s name is P.C. Singh, who was a doctor. His parents died during the corona pandemic. His sister’s name is Shweta Priyadarshini, who is a lawyer by profession and his brother’s name is Harsh Wardhan, who is an economist.

Career

Kanishk was fond of acting since his childhood. He was shy and hesitant to speak in school. However, he wanted to pursue acting, he came out of his shell and become an actor. On 24 July 2013, he started working as an actor at the Indian theatre group Asmita Theatre Group. He has performed more than a hundreds of  street plays. He used to do more than 16 plays a day. And, he believes that his work ethics come from this theatre. His first play’s name was ‘Naya Kanoon,’ which was an incredible experience for him. He left theater as he thought it was getting monotonous.

Kanishk Priyadarshi joined Brown Street as an anchor in July 2013. He worked there for almost two years.

Kanishk started working at the digital media house ScoopWhoop as an actor and anchor. He has also appeared in various videos of Ok Tested, sister website of ScoopWhoop. His journey of ScoopWhoop started from Facebook. He was scrolling his Facebook and got to see the job post for ‘Actors and Anchors.’ The person who posted that job post had once met Kanishk in some event. He applied and was called for interview. However, he was very nervous while he was given a script to perform.
