Aditya Dhar is a lyricist, writer, and film director, who is famous for being the director of the movie, Uri: The Surgical Strike. He got married to Bollywood actress Yami Gautam on 4 June 2021, which she posted about on social media. Aditya Dhar was born on 12 March 1983 in New Delhi and his zodiac sign is Pisces.

Aditya Dhar was born in a Kashmiri Pandit family. His mother’s name is Dr. Suneeta Dhar, who is a Dean & Head at Faculty of Music & Fine Arts at the University of Delhi. He has one sibling (brother) Lokesh Dhar. 

Aditya Dhar was dating Bollywood actor, Yami Gautam for a while now and he married her on 4 June 2021. It was a very private wedding ceremony with a few family members.

Aditya Dhar wanted to be an army officer, however, started working with the Indian Theatre Group ‘Delhi Theatre Group’ for almost more than 20 years. In 2006, Aditya Dhar moved from Delhi to Mumbai to grow his career. Aditya was working as a Radio Jockey after he shifted to Mumbai. Aditya was also working as a lyricist and he wrote one for the Bollywood movie, Kabul Express released on 15 December 2006. Besides this, he has written lyrics for different Bollywood movies, including One Two Three (2018), Haal-e-Dil (2008), and Daddy Cool (2009). 

Apart from being the lyricist, he has even written dialogues for various Bollywood movies, including Aakrosh (2010) and Tezz (2012). Aditya Dhar got popular when he debuted as a director with the movie, Uri: The Surgical Strike released on 11 January 2019. He was even responsible for writing the screenplay of this movie which starred actor Vicky Kaushal as the main lead. Aditya Dhar is currently working on a new Bollywood movie, The Immortal Ashwatthama, which is again starring Bollywood actor, Vicky Kaushal in the main lead.
