Superstar ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ (77 years) and son, ‘Abhishek Bachchan’ (44), are tested positive for Covid-19. They have been hospitalized after testing positive for the coronavirus disease. The rest of the Bachchan family, along with the staff working in their home, are waiting for their test results.
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted,
I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”
Both the actors have been admitted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. Senior Bachchan is kept in an isolation ward in the hospital. Both the actors confirmed the news of their coronavirus results on Twitter.
According to the sources at the Nanavati hospital, Senior Bachchan was experiencing breathlessness on 11 July 2020 (Saturday) at around 10 pm, after which he was rushed to the hospital.
Abhishek wrote on Twitter,
Earlier today, both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to the hospital. We have informed all the required authorities, and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
Senior Bachchan had been shooting from home recently, and even shot for a few advertisements along with a promo for a television quiz show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’
Amitabh Bachchan is reported to be stable with minor breathing problems.
