In a media conversation, Ajey Nagar disclosed the meaning of CarryMinati. He said Carry meant the player who protects his entire team as a leader. He explained,

The alias for me is just a cool-sounding name. In the counter strike, it’s quite common that people keep their alias with ‘Carry’, which means a player who shields his entire team and leads the army, eliminating opposition singlehandedly. Minati comes from the word Illuminati.”

Controversies

His parody video “YouTube vs TikTok – The End,” which he posted in May 2020 on his YouTube channel, sparked India. Thereafter, the video was taken down by YouTube for breaking the terms of service, claiming that the video promoted cyberbullying and harassment.
