Asit Kumarr Modi, aka Ashit Kumar Modi, was born on 24 December 1966. He has completed his education from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel School, Mumbai in 1982. After that, he got his degree in B. Com from Shri Chinai College of Commerce and Economics from 1983 to 1999. He is an Indian producer, director, and TV actor. Besides, he is also the founder of Neela Tele Films Private Limited, which was started in 1995, and is a renowned production house based in Mumbai. The production house is known for producing fiction shows for different channels. The production house is managed & owned by Asit Kumarr Modi. Asit Kumarr Modi has produced various serials, including Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Meri Biwi Wonderful, Hum Sab Ek Hai, SAB Khelo SAB Jeeto!, Wah! Wah! Kya Baat Hai!, Krishnaben Khakhrawala, and Pyaar Mein Twist. Asit Kumarr Modi commenced his career in theatre as an actor. He also worked as an assistant director and technician. He even worked as a lighting designer for different stage shows (Gujarati) and managed the creative department for various regional serials. Asit Kumarr Modi executes shows on Gujarati TV. He did executive production and marketing for Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Who (1994-1995), handled creative, marketing, and production of the serial, ‘Rajni’ (1995-96) followed by marketing for Kondmara for DD Marathi (1996-97). Kondmara is a Marathi serial. Asit Kumarr Modi produced and marketed a Gujarati serial titled ‘Miyan Fuski,’ ‘Parinam,’ a suspense thriller for Ahmedabad and DD Mumbai. He produced and marketed another family drama titled ‘Aahwan.’

In 1995, Asit Kumarr Modi founded the TV production company ‘Neela Tele Films Private Limited.’ The first show under Modi’s production is ‘Hum Sab Ek Hain.’ Later many shows were produced by the production house that included different genres, including drama, poetry series, reality game shows, and comedy. The longest-running under this production house is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV), which is based on “Duniya Ne Undha Chashma” (Gujarati humorist Taarak Mehta’s weekly column) in the Gujarati magazine Chitralekha. The show is running for more than 10 years and completed 2953 episodes. Asit Kumarr Modi appeared with Shahrukh Khan and Raveena Tandon starrer movie, ‘Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke’ (2004).
