In 2019, Samay participated in Comicstaan 2 at the suggestion of another comedian, Aakash Gupta. He did so well in the show that he became the joint winner of Comicstaan 2. The show was aired on Amazon Prime Video.

Streaming Chess

In 2020, Samay Raina was not able to do live comedy shows, so Tanmay Bhatt suggested him to start streaming chess on his YouTube channel.

Samay then gathered certain stand-up comedians who could stream with him online. It was done to raise money for people below the poverty line. The name for this stream was Chess for Charity.

Many famous people were a part of this stream, including Viswanathan Anand, Vidit Gujrathi, Anish Giri, Nihal Sarin, B. Adhiban, Tania Sachdev, Sagar Shah, and Antonio Radić (Agadmator).

After this, Samay started orgaizaing chess tournaments online on his YouTube channel to attract audinece to play chess. He called it Comedians on Board, and many famous comedians and celebrities appeared on these tournaments. He conducted this between 2020 and 2022 and won the last two tournaments.

On 20 August 2021, Samay was seen on Comedy Premium League, which is an Indian Hindi-language Netflix ‘reality-meets-stand-up-meets-variety show’ series produced by OML Entertainment. Samay was a part of the team Lovable Langoors, and this team was led by another comedian, Amit Tandon.

In 2021, Samay Raina even won the $ 10,000 Botez Bullet Invitational, a one-hour amateur arena tournament sponsored by Chess.com. It was hosted by the Botez sisters, who are American-Canadian chess players. Samay was the only Indian chess player in this tournament, and even earned $4000.

In the same year, Samay organized an online chess league named Chess Super League in collaboration with ChessBase India and Nodwin Gaming. League had some top Internationnal and National Grandmasters, International Masters, and Indian Junior Players competing in 6 different teams for a prize money of Rs. 40 lakhs. This was streamed on Samay Raina’s YouTube channel.

One Mic Stand

In 2021, Samay Raina took part in the Indian stand-up comedy TV series show, One Mic Stand, aired on Amazon Prime. He appeared as a guest in Season 2, episode 5.

India’s Got Latent Season 1

On June 14, 2024, Samay Raina created his own comedy talent show on YouTube. The format and the vibe of the show were so crazy that it went viral within a few days of uploading. The show is inspired by the international ‘Got Talent’ franchise and Kill Tony. The show features a wide variety of acts like singing, dancing, comedy, magic, and more. Samay has also launched India’s Got Latent app on iOS and Android.
